What would a museum of the NHS look like?

Panel Talk

Venue: Cafe, Thackray Medical Museum, Leeds Thursday

21 July, 6-730pm

A team of historians at the University of Warwick are trying to build a virtual museum of the NHS, using photographs of weird and wonderful objects and paraphernalia provided by the public. So far we have ‘Born in the NHS’ t-shirts, campaign badges, NHS glasses, baby tags, and craft objects made during hospital stays. But what else should be included in a Museum of the NHS? Why has no museum yet been made of this key post-war British institution? Is the hospital itself a museum?

We’d love to hear from YOU at our discussion evening…
