Tuesday 27th October, 5.30-7.00, Maurice Keyworth Lecture Theatre, 2015 Oakley Lecture in Medicine and the Arts, Thomas Dixon (Director, Centre of the History of Emotions, Queen Mary) –  ‘Healing Tears: Crying for your Health in Modern British Culture’

 

Semester Two

Monday 8th February, 5.00-6.00: Jesse Olszynko-Gryn (History and Philosophy of Science, University of Cambridge) – ‘Thin blue lines: Clearblue and the rise of pregnancy testing in British cinema and television’

Monday 7th March, 5.00 – 6.00: Luna Dolezal (Philosophy, University of Durham and Trinity College, Dublin) – ‘Morphological Freedom: Constructing the Posthuman Body’ 

Monday 25th April, 5.00-6.00: (Medical Humanities, University of Sheffield) – Title TBC

Unless otherwise stated, all events  take place in the LCMH, basement, School of English, Cavendish Road.  Events are free and all are welcome.
