LoveArts Conversation, Leeds, 21 and 22 October, 2014

The Love Arts Conversation is festival-flavoured conference of arts and mental wellbeing, and is part of the Love Arts Festival, running throughout the second half of October across the city.

You can join the conference for one or both days on Tuesday, 21 October or Wednesday, 22 October, 2014 in Leeds City Centre.

What you get with the conference:

  • Visit cultural Leeds venues including Northern Ballet, West Yorkshire Playhouse, Yorkshire Dance, Leeds College of Music, Leeds City Museum, Leeds Art Gallery and Leeds Central Library.
  • Talk about important issues: money, partnership, commissioning, research… but above all creativity and mental health.
  • Lunch and refreshments (included).
  • Join workshops such as: dance and dementia; representations of mental health in the media; music with older people; film-making to improve mental well-being; hearing voices and film.
  • Be inspired and enthused to use creativity to aid mental well-being.
  • Make stuff! Dance, watch films and theatre performances.
  • Hear from people for whom art is a lifeline and you will go away feeling inspired.
