On Death and Dying: Roundtable and Theatre Performance, 13 May 2014

The Leeds Centre for Medical Humanities, the Environmental Humanities Research Grouping and the Workshop Theatre at the University of Leeds, invite you to the event:

On Death and Dying: Human Animal Encounters

13 May 2014, 7pm-9.30pm
Studio 1, Workshop Theatre, School of English, University of Leeds, LS2 9JT

In the context of Dying Awareness Week, this event will be an opportunity to reflect on human and animal death; on how we die and how we want to die; on how we talk about dying or why we don’t.

7pm Round Table Discussion with Prof. Bridget Bennett (School of English); Prof. Michael Bennett (Leeds Institute of Health Sciences), and Judith Gaunt from the Yorkshire Pet Crematorium.

8pm Theatre Performance. For Their Own Good, The United Artists. £10 (£8 concs).
